EO: Essential OilHOW TO NATURALLY TREAT CHICKENPOX WITH ESSENTIAL OILS?
Chickenpox is a viral disease which is contagious. It occurs most often in children between 2 and 10 years .
THE TRANSMISSION OF THE VIRUS
Transmission of the virus is by respiratory route, by inhalation of saliva droplets emitted by a patient or by direct contact with its skin lesions. The incubation period is two to three weeks . Transmission is favored by a period of widespread contagion: it begins 2 to 4 days before the onset of the first symptoms (when the disease is still "silent") and continues until the crust stage (5 to 7 days after 'eruption).
SYMPTOMS
The first symptoms of chickenpox are usually unobtrusive. Moderate fever (up to 38 ° C), headache , mild cough and runny nose can be observed . A little later, we observe the famous small red spots on the face and the trunk, accompanied by itching . They extend to the whole body and become small pimples (vesicles) containing a clear liquid extremely contagious. These vesicles dry in about 2 days and turn into crusts that will eventually fall after a week, leaving scars that will disappear in a few months .
ARE THERE ANY COMPLICATIONS?
The disease is most often benign and spontaneously heals in 10 to 15 days in immunocompetent subjects.
However, some complications may occur , such as bacterial superinfection of the skin (in case of scraping) that can leave permanent scars, or neurological or pulmonary complications.
The frequency of complications increases with age, the disease being generally more severe in adults (more intense eruption and great fatigue).
However, the disease is especially serious in immuno compromised people and newborns. There is also a risk of fetal illness and severe neonatal varicella when a pregnant woman is infected.
